However, this ambitious Mars project also has its challenges and delays. Initially, Musk’s goal was to send humans to Mars within a decade. But in 2022, Mr. Musk revealed that the deadline had been pushed back. 2029 is currently considered the earliest possible date for humans to reach the Red Planet.

When asked about the timeline for sending the first crew to Mars before 2030, Musk said efforts are in the early stages. He emphasized that the top priority is achieving reliability and reusability of Starship spacecraft.
