Sonny Could Take The Heat To Protect Ava — If Nina Agrees

General Hospital (GH) spoilers claim Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is known for protecting the people he loves the most — but he’s also known for extending those feelings to every mother of his many children.

He doesn’t have to consider Ava Jerome (Maura West) one of the most important people in his life in order to protect her in the same fashion. For years, these two co-parents hardly agreed on anything — except for their shared love of their daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola).

However, with Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) recent murder in play, Sonny was concerned Ava could have had something to do with it.

Obviously, she didn’t, but now he’ll have to worry that the police won’t believe that. If they become aware that Ava and Austin were on the outs, she could become their prime suspect in his murder. What’s Sonny going to do about that?

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Is The Mother Of His Child

Point blank: Sonny is never going to let the mother of his child go to prison. Every time this scenario comes into play, the fans find themselves arguing about the illegitimacy of it all. After all, if he goes to prison, his entire family is at risk.

If Ava goes to prison, they’re not. Still, he’s all about loyalty and looking out for the women in his life is a big part of that.

GH Spoilers – Spill His Loyalty Isn’t Just To Carly Spencer

It was only a few months ago that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was at risk of going to prison as well. Being reported for insider trading, Carly was looking at time behind bars that would have been easier for her to serve than for the whole family to lose Sonny and his protection.

Besides, they all knew the sentencing would be harsher for Sonny because the feds wanted him put away for something — for anything — and for a long time. Still, Sonny was willing to take that fall for Carly out of the best interest of his kids.

General Hospital Spoilers — What About Nina Reeves?

If the rumors are true, Ava is about to make a major confession to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

It’s likely that she will tell Nina the truth about everything that happened with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), how she came to be wrapped up in melodrama with Austin and his cousin, Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray), and that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was pulling the strings all along — though she didn’t know it.

Armed with that information, will Nina keep Ava’s secrets if it means possibly losing Sonny to a life in prison just to protect his baby mama?
