The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki’s Drunk-Driving Accident – Tragic Chain Reaction Follows Jordan & Claire’s Plot?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will struggle to resist temptation now that she’s had a taste of what she’s been missing. Nikki was forced off the wagon due to Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) plot, which could set off a tragic chain reaction as Nikki settles back into her daily life back in Genoa City.

Y&R fans can expect Nikki to have a hard time around the alcohol at the Newman ranch. You’d think Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would clear all the booze out to help Nikki, but she’ll still find herself staring down a vodka bottle during the week of December 4-8.

Nikki will pour a glass and clutch it like she’s very tempted to chug it down. It’s easy to imagine Nikki caving in and perhaps sneaking even more drinks as time goes on.

What happened at the lake house wasn’t Nikki’s fault, but now she has to be vigilant about her own sobriety and try to get back on track. It’s not a good idea for Nikki to surround herself with her greatest vice and give herself more temptation than necessary.

Nevertheless, Nikki may find herself unable to stay sober for very long. It’d be smart for the writers to keep the drama going after all the Oregon chaos and provide a new chapter of obstacles.

Claire and Jordan’s scheme could have long-term effects if intoxicated Nikki spirals out of control in GC. What if Nikki has too much to drink and gets behind the wheel?

If that’s what plays out, Nikki could have a drunk-driving accident and crash into someone innocent with her car.

Then again, Nikki might even run over someone out walking and leave another character in a fight to survive.

It’d be an interesting twist of fate if Claire got off the hook for her crimes – only to find herself mowed down by drunk Nikki and rushed to the hospital!

That would certainly be a quick way to make Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) sympathetic to her long-lost daughter since a DNA test should confirm her link to Claire soon.

Whatever happens, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki’s sobriety struggles could lead to bad news, so stay tuned for updates on what she might do while inebriated. The rate has been raised and the threshold at which firms must pay has been cut, with ministers adamant it was the only way to prop up public services.
