Beyoncé fed her fans with two looks at the London premiere of her concert film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.
The superstar revealed her first look of the night in photos shared to her website. She rocked custom Thom Browne, wearing a long open jacket to reveal a bodysuit underneath. The bodysuit featured floral embroidery, while fingerless gloves and pointed platforms added more edge to the look.
Beyoncé also wore two pear-shaped diamond earrings from Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry, totaling 20 carats and featuring rock crystal drops. The music icon also wore over 50 carats of diamond rings from the jewelry designer.
For the afterparty, the theme was “diamonds and pearls,” as the singer stepped out in a dazzling Balmain minidress. The look covered Beyoncé in crystals and pearls, which created a fringe at her hips. A dramatic blue gem sat at the center of her chest. The look was finished off with opera gloves.
In an Instagram post, Balmain shared a series of photos of Beyoncé in the look. In the caption, the house described the look as “recalling the glitzy, all-silver glam of the Renaissance World Tour and reminding us that she is indeed the one-and-only Alien Superstar.”
Beyoncé wore her long platinum hair in a wavy half-up hairstyle. The hair change made waves last week, when social media comments led Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles, to fire back at the vitriol implying her daughter was “lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair trying to be white.”
In a post on Instagram, she wrote, “I am sick and tired of people attacking her. Every time she does something that she works her ass off for and is a statement of her work ethic , talent and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork.”
Beyoncé arrived at the London premiere alongside her 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. The sweet mother-daughter moment left Tina “in tears,” she wrote in another Instagram post.
Also in attendance at the London premiere were Taylor Swift, Michelle Williams and Blake Lively.
The London premiere marks the second premiere for Renaisance: A Film by Beyoncé, which is in theaters now. Last week, the Los Angeles premiere of the concert film brought out stars like Kelly Rowland, Gabrielle Union and Chloe and Halle Bailey.
The Grammy-winning singer also released a new song, “My House,” coinciding with the film’s release on Friday.
In a teaser of the film released on Thanksgiving, Beyoncé is heard saying, “We are creating our own world. This is my reward, nobody can take that away from me.”
An official synopsis of the film describes the film as “about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”
