It’s just another day in paradise for Vin Diesel.
The action hero sure has it tough these days as he continues ‘work’ on his upcoming movie in beautiful Brazil.
Diesel is in South America to film the fifth instalment in the hugely successful Fast and the Furious franchise, called Fast Five.
Beach buddies: Vin Diesel seems to be fitting right in with the locals as he hangs on Ipanema Beach, with co-star Ludacris, yesterday in Brazil
But by the look of things they have a pretty lapse filming schedule, as since they arrived in Brazil three days ago the cast and crew appear to have done nothing but hang out, chill and just generally laze around on the beach.
Nice work if you can get it…
Diesel was hard at it, yet again, yesterday as he spent the day on Ipanema Beach which is situated in the coastal resort of Rio De Janeiro.
The 43-year-old was hanging out with his co-star, rapper turned actor, Ludacris, and the two men were working up quite a sweat, sitting in the sun, talking to passing fans, posing for photographs and watching the world pass by.
Building sandcastles: Vin Diesel gives the thumbs up to all this hard work as he spends another day on the beach in Paradise
Diesel was dressed to impress, in true Hollywood star fashion, in some trendy long check shorts, white trainers and a tight white vest.
His vest showed off his bulging biceps and totally toned arms to maximum effect.
To finish off his look, Diesel wore a couple of silver dog tags around his neck, hanging from a long chain, and, of course, every actors wardrobe essential, a large pair of sunglasses.
Ludacris looked more suited for the streets than the beach, in his long jeans and T-shirt.
Throwing down some signs: The actor made sure to bring some east coast attitude along with some west coast style to South America
All this hanging around obviously became just a little too much for Diesel at one point as he had to take a break from all that exhausting relaxing business and jump on a bike for a ride around the beach.
Despite only being in Rio for a few days the 43-year-old native New Yorker already looks like one of the locals as he chatted to all and sundry.
Diesel even took some time out to dispense some friendly advice to a guy working out on the beach.
And by the look of it Vin Diesel knows a thing or two about keeping in shape.
Hard at it: The shooting schedule for Fast Five certainly isn’t too gruelling as all the main stars seem to do is hang out and relax on the beach every day
It seems everywhere the actor went he was greeted by fans, all of which he took the time to acknowledge and talk to.
At one point Diesel clasped hands with a very tan guy in a pair of dodgy looking speedos.
Later on in the day, as it started to turn dark, the actor seemed in definite need of the large security detail that he was flanked by as he walked around.
Diesel was surrounded by five, big burly guys that did their best to protect the star from his many adoring fans.
On your bike: Diesel took a break from all that tiring relaxing at one point, jumping on a bike for a cycle around the beach
Stylish star: Diesel was definitely dressed for the Brazilian sunshine in his trendy check long shorts and a tight white vest
One fan, a lady in a teeny tiny bikini, seemed to get a little too close for comfort at one point and was bundled away by Diesel’s bodyguards.
Diesel in joined in Rio by his other co-tars, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster.
They too have been making the most of the Brazilian sunshine and were spotted at the beach sunbathing and chilling out on Wednesday.
Diesel reprises his role as Dominic Toretto in Fast Five.
Tricks of the trade: Vin Diesel kindly took the time to impart some of his training wisdom to a local that was working out on the beach
Nice speedos: Diesel was very gracious with his adoring public, even clasping hands with a very tan fan in some dodgy speedos
The movie starts off with Toretto being sprung from jail by Brian Conner (played by Walker).
The two friends flee he country and assemble a team of their friends and fellow elite drivers to confront a corrupt businessman (played by Joaquim de Almeida) who wants them dead.
At the same time they have to avoid capture by a relentless federal agent (played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
As well as Brazil the movie will be filming in Puerto Rico, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
The movie’s producer, Neal H Moritz has announced that there will be a sixth instalment also, which will begin filming back to back with this one.
Let’s hope Vin Diesel packed a lot of suntan lotion.
Entourage: Luckily Vin Diesel was flanked by his large security detail as he went or a walk around the streets later on in the day
Too close for comfort: Two of Diesel’s five bodyguards had to restrain one over zealous fan that as dressed to impress in a teeny tiny bikini
