Megan Fox rejected Wonder Woman role believing she is a “lame” character.
There were many actresses considered for the coveted role of Wonder Woman before Gal Gadot won the part. Interestingly, Transformers star Megan Fox was one of the early bets during the 2000s.

The Wonder Woman project was an on-and-off decision back in 2005, and since Fox was rumored to play the lead part, lots of fan artwork spread on the internet with the actress dressed up as the famed heroine.
Megan Fox Rejected Wonder Woman Role And Called The Character “Lame”
With an iconic character like Wonder Woman, many actresses would dream of playing the role even once in their career. However, Megan Fox was not one of those celebrities vying for the part. She was quick to shut down rumors of her participating in the said project. She said in her interview with Times Online via MTV News:
“Wonder Woman is a lame superhero… She flies around in her invisible jet, and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don’t get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role, but I don’t want to do it.”

Not only did the Jennifer’s Body star debunk the rumors, but she also slammed the iconic DC character by calling Wonder Woman a “lame superhero”. To be fair, actors must understand the roles they are portraying, and if Fox claimed she did not “get” the character, she was wise enough to walk away.
Fox would later star in Michael Bay’s 2007 film Transformers as Mikaela Banes, a role she regretted in the end.
Several Actresses Contended For The Coveted Role Of Wonder Woman
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
While Megan Fox hated the idea of flying in an invisible jet and a lasso as a weapon, other actresses have displayed their interest in the role.
Bond girl Olga Kurylenko came so close to snagging the role after she was included in the last three actresses who were considered to play the part. The Quantum of Solace star even attended a screen test. The French-Ukrainian model definitely stood a chance because of her acting chops and previous physical training.
Angelina Jolie was Joss Whedon’s first choice for Wonder Woman when he signed on to helm the movie in 2005. There’s no reason why the Tomb Raider star would not get the role because aside from Jolie’s long roster of action movies, she also looks the part.
Adrianne Palicki was cast to play Wonder Woman in an ill-fated pilot episode for a television show in 2011. Fans only saw her wear the costume from the photos that resurfaced online, but never witnessed the actress actually play on the screen. She would have made a great Diana Prince given her credentials working in Agents of SHIELD as Mockingbird.
Gina Carano also previously voiced her interest in transforming into Wonder Woman. The former MMA star has the physique and the looks, but she did not successfully win the role.
Elodie Yung was also a fan-favorite bet because of her past work in Marvel’s Daredevil series as Elektra Natchios. The French-Cambodian star would have been a natural choice as Wonder Woman due to her martial arts background and experience in the comic book live-action adaptations.
