The 34-year-old tight end also left Swift’s father Scott hanging at a crucial moment when Swift shouted him out onstage by changing the lyrics to her hit song “Karma.”

“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” Swift sang, replacing the original lyrics, “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me.”

The new lyrics prompted Scott to hold his hand up to Kelce for a high five. Kelce didn’t appear to notice.

On the New Heights podcast Tuesday, Kelce’s brother Jason noted that Kelce was “so shocked you left Scott hanging.”

“Yeah, Mr. Swift, I apologize big guy,” Travis said. “I missed that. I never miss a high five too. Big high-five guy. It’s the most electric thing you can do at an event. So. Sorry, Mr. Swift.”

Jason appeared impressed to learn that Scott played college football and was a linebacker-turned-center, but he joked that he was disappointed in Scott for seemingly switching sides to cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Philadelphia Eagles center said that Scott was leaving a lifetime of fandom due to his younger brother’s “devilishly good looks” and his relationship status with Scott’s daughter.

Scott’s loyalty might be tested on Monday: Travis and the Chiefs take on Jason and the Eagles in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.

Travis left his trip south of the equator impressed by Swift’s star power after she sold out a 70,000-capacity stadium three nights in a row.

“It’s crazy how many sold-out shows she has, and these venues she keeps going to,” Travis said. “I was blown away.”

Kelce also discussed Friday’s show, which was canceled due to lightning and rain.

“She wasn’t too happy about it,” he said. “She kind of prides herself on performing through weather or rain and things like that. But when it’s unsafe to her and her crew and everybody in the stadium, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”

The couple ate at their hotel and stayed inside to be respectful to would-be concert attendees, per Kelce.

“We didn’t want to just go and have a blast throughout the city like we didn’t care about the show,” he said. “So we made sure we stayed in the hotel and kind of kept to ourselves man.”

Kelce spoke highly of the experience as a whole.

“The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy it for,” Kelce said. “And yeah, Taylor absolutely ripped it. She killed it. And it looked like she was having some fun up there.”
