As Christmas approaches, children will be considering whether they’ll make Santa’s naughty or nice list this year.

And some tots have put themselves at risk of getting coal instead of presents this year, thanks to their mischievous antics.

From Nutella to flour, these children have created an almighty mess for their parents to clean up while their backs was turned.

Why wouldn’t you cover your brother in peanut butter?

While some scribbled on the walls of their homes, other kids’ naughty behaviour was less easy to rectify – including one boy who shaved off a section of his hair.

Amelia Etherington, two, from Whitstable, Kent, had just had a bath when mother Clare left her watching Peppa Pig while she put the washing out. Clare returned to find Amelia had got her hands on a jar of Nutella and smeared it over herself and the sofa

Three-year-old Ivy Rose Ball, from Telford, Shropshire, threw toys, books and snacks all over the living room (left) and her bedroom (right) after sneaking out of bed early one morning – just after her mother Zoe had given the whole house a spring clean

Meanwhile, Olly Nelson, three, from Carlisle, managed to get paint all over the carpet, sofa and walls while his mother Faye popped upstairs to change before meeting up with friends

Billy-Joe Cain, nine, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, was left in tears after he shaved off part of his eyebrows using his step-father’s razor, when he was supposed to be brushing his teeth. His mother Kylie managed to rectify the situation by drawing eyebrows on for him (right)
