The entire tennis community gets a glimpse of a past rivalry as Serena Williams gets clicked along with Anna Kournikova at the Trilogy Tour concert

Tennis great Serena Williams has been involved in many events and programs after having retired from the sport way back in 2022. Recently, she was seen attending the Trilogy Tour concert at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on Friday night. But the thing that caught the eyes of several tennis fanatics was when she uploaded a photograph of herself along with past-time rival Anna Kournikova.

On Instagram, Serena uploaded a video alongside Ricky Martin, actress Eva Longoria, singer Enrique Iglesias, and Anna Kournikova. The video consisted of a track from Iglesias named ‘Bailando’ with Serena seen dancing and enjoying the moment. The concert featured many hit stars such as PitbullRicky Martin, and Enrique Iglesias.

She added the caption to the reel as:

I had the best time at @ricky_martin @enriqueiglesias @pitbull show! I’m def a Latin music lover for LIFE @evalongoria @annakournikova thanks Ricky!!!

The fierce some tennis rivals last met each other way back in 2002 at the Sydney International, which was 21 years apart, making their reunion even more special in the eyes of many tennis geeks.

Serena Williams and Anna Kournikova once shared a great friendship during the starting days of their professional career, but things didn’t turn out quite well between them. With one player leaving tennis even before she could reach her potential, the other went on to establish herself as ‘the’ greatest player in the history of women’s tennis.

They faced off each other only two times in their career, with their last meeting happening more than two decades ago. Their first match was at the 2000 Montreal Open, where Serena beat Kournikova by a scoreline of 6-3, 6-2. The next meeting came at the 2002 Sydney International, where Serena yet again emerged victorious in a three-set thrilling encounter by 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
