Cardi B and Offset, both successful rappers in their own right, first sparked romance rumors in February 20171.
Their relationship began at an industry event in 2016234, where Offset was very persistent in trying to get to know Cardi3.
Cardi B admitted that initially, she wasn’t sure about his intentions and assumed that he only wanted a physical relationship with her.
However, Offset’s consistency eventually won her over.
Their first official date was at Super Bowl LI12.
Offset had asked his publicist to coordinate a group dinner with Cardi B, and the Houston-based Super Bowl turned out to be their first official date2. This was a power move on Offset’s part.
In October of the same year, Offset proposed to Cardi B during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia12.
However, this was after the couple had secretly wed on September 20, 201712. The news of their wedding didn’t break until June of 20182.
