Before joining the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer of 2018, he made eight consecutive NBA Finals while playing in the Eastern Conference.
During that time span, James won three NBA Championships.
However, when LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers as a 34-year-old, many claimed James only joined the team to become a Hollywood star.
While the four-time NBA MVP didn’t respond to the criticism at that time, he clapped back at those comments recently via Legion Hoops on Twitter.
“But I just came here to make movies though! Ain’t that what y’all said right!?!?,” James posted.
The tweet featured a screenshot of LeBron James’ Instagram story, which had an image of James’ stat line against the Portland Trail Blazers in their most recent matchup.
James put up 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists against the Trail Blazers.
It featured James shooting an incredible 5-of-9 from the three-point line.
Another key milestone for James during the game was scoring was his 108th 30-point game of his career as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
As for the Lakers in the 2023-24 NBA season, the team now has a 7-6 record as they hold the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
While the Lakers haven’t been at their best during the regular season when it comes to the NBA In-Season Tournament, the Purple and Gold have a 3-0 record in the group stage.
It seems like LeBron James was serious about winning the $500K prize money for the tournament, after all.
The Lakers have won four out of the last five games in the regular season.
It’s a good start to putting together a long winning streak as the season progresses.
