10 powerful but rarely used techniques by Goku in Dragon Ball

Spirit Bomb is also a move that Goku rarely uses!

For anime lovers, you are surely familiar with Dragon Ball, with the main character Son Goku.

Below let’s list 10 techniques that Goku rarely uses in his Monkey adventures!

1. Dragon Fist

Dragon Fist was used by Goku in the 13th Dragon Ball movie – Wrath of the Dragon to defeat Hirudegarn. Later this technique was also used many times in Dragon Ball GT. However, we rarely see him use it in the main storyline.

2. Use Power Pole

If you have been following Goku’s adventures since you were a child, you probably remember that Goku once fought the Power Pole. This is a stick with arbitrary elastic length that appeared at the beginning of Dragon Ball with Goku.

However, Goku doesn’t seem to use it anymore.

3. Use the Kamehameha with your feet

There are many variations of the Kamehameha. One of them is that when Goku fought Piccolo, he even performed the Kamehameha from his feet.

In the anime and manga versions, Goku has not used this technique since fighting Piccolo in the 23rd Tenka’ichi Budōkai.

4.Magaru Kamehameha

Magaru Kamehameha is a Kamehameha variation that Goku can use to surprise enemies. But this  is also a technique that Goku rarely uses.

5. Telepathy ability

Next is the ability of Telepathy, communication through the mind. Goku is one of the people who can use this technique. One of the moments Goku used telepathy was when Goku asked Krillin not to kill Vegeta.

6. Mind reading skills

Goku reads Krillin’s thoughts.

There are several moments where Goku is shown to be able to read other people’s minds. For example, when  Goku was able to read Krillin’s mind in Namek by touching Krillin’s head.

7. Mafuba

The moment Goku used Mafuba on Zamasu in the DBS manga

Mafuba is a sealing technique used to seal King Piccolo. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Goku himself used the Mafuba technique to try to seal Zamasu.

8. Spirit Bomb

Genki Dama or Spirit Bomb is one of Son Goku’s strongest techniques.  Usually when Goku has to fight a very strong enemy like Kid Buu he will deploy it.

Though, come to think of it, Goku actually rarely uses this technique.

9. Hakai

Goku tries to use Hakai

Hakai is a special technique of the God of Destruction. In Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 25, Goku had time to deploy Hakai which caused Zamasu’s body to become a piece of dust.

10. Taiyoken

Goku uses Taiyoken

Goku is a character who can use Taiyoken – an attack to temporarily blind enemies. But thinking back, he rarely used this move.

Despite this, this technique has not been forgotten. In the Dragon Ball Super anime, Goku deployed it against Caulifla.
