The “Pond House” in East Hampton has been sold to Beyoncé and Jay Z for $28.95M after being listed with Compass for eight years. The couple, who recently welcomed twins Sir and Rumi, entered into a contract for the 12,000 square-foot-home in July. The 7-bedroom home features exquisite hand-pegged parquet de Versailles flooring and 18th-century French Louis XV carved stone fireplaces.
A two-story great room offers views of a wrap-around terrace and preserved meadows. Builder Jeffrey Collé added quarter-sawn white oak paneling and hand-carved heated marble tubs in the master bathroom.
The kitchen boasts a La Cornue stove and dual Viking refrigerators, ideal for year-round entertaining. Additionally, the property includes a 1,800-square-foot guest cottage.
