Anne Hathaway has always been ahead of the fashion curve and she proved it once again while out in New York on Tuesday just days after a glam appearance at the Albie Awards.
The gorgeous Oscar winner, 40, rocked a quirky ensemble featuring a double denim design for her appearance on the Today show.
Her classic black suit jacket held a corset-like detail made of the jean material, while her pant echoed the style as well.
She added a set of designer shades to to the mix and hit the pavement in a pair of sky-high stilettos.
While the ensemble was certainly a fashion risk, Anne rocked it with aplomb, as she posed like a pro for the shutterbugs.
‘I don’t really think about age,’ she began.
‘To me, ageing is another word for living.’
Anne, who began her acting career at 17, also noted the prevailing perception in Hollywood that actresses face a tough career hurdle once they reach a certain age.
The Intern star said, ‘If people want to pay you a compliment, that’s nice.’
‘But, also, whatever the hype is, I’m interested in what’s beyond the concept of hype,’ she remarked.
Currently, Anne has taken on the role of global brand ambassador for the skincare brand Shiseido, which has launched its latest campaign under the slogan ‘Potential knows no age.’
While discussing the campaign’s tagline, Anne commented, ‘I love putting that out there.
‘I love watching these young people who have so much more freedom than I had.’
Meanwhile, Anne had a fun reunion with her Devil Wears Prada costar Meryl Streep, 74, last week.
The two Hollywood heavyweights reconnected at the the Clooney Foundation For Justice’s second annual Albie Awards in New York City on Thursday.
Meryl was in a sensible black ensemble while Anne put on a glamorous display in a figure-hugging slip dress with a light green and silver checkered pattern from Versace.
The actress who stole the iconic movie from the legendary actresses also made an appearance, as Emily Blunt, 40, joined in the activities with her husband John Krasinski.
