Jennie (BLACKPINK) leads the K-Pop female idol brand value rankings in October

The Korean Institute of Corporate Reputation has just announced the brand value rankings of each member of this country’s girl groups in October.

According to data analysis by the Korean Institute of Corporate Reputation in October, Jennie of the famous Korean girl group BLACKPINK currently leads in personal brand value. Behind her in this ranking is member Minji of the girl group NewJeans. Third place also belongs to another member of NewJeans, Hanni.

Specifically, according to published data, Jennie ranked first with a brand value index of 4,540,423. BLACKPINK members had a spectacular growth of 131.95% compared to last month and moved from position 11 last month to number 1 this month.

Ranked second is Minji with an index of 3,710,377. NewJeans membership is down 22.27% month-over-month and is down one spot from her No. 1 ranking last month. Similar to Minji, Hanni is in third place with an index of 2,965,429, down 29.20% compared to last month but still holding the number 3 position.

Big data analysis shows that the phrases most commonly associated with Jennie are “reveal”, “dominate” and “engaged”. On the other hand, analyzing this member’s keywords shows that keywords like “You & Me”, “jazz” and “Apartment 404” are the most searched phrases.

It can be said that after releasing the new song “You & Me”, Jennie is receiving great attention. The new song also brought her high positions in global music charts. Specifically, after being broadcast on October 6 (local time) and after nearly 1 day of release, this song topped the iTunes song charts in 53 countries.

In addition to topping many iTunes song charts globally, “You & Me” also topped music charts in Korea such as VIBE and Bugs upon release. The song also rose to No. 1 on Melon’s real-time new releases chart “Hot 100” at 6 p.m. (local time) on the day of release.

Notably, in the list published by the Korean Institute of Corporate Reputation in October, there were 3 members of BLACKPINK in the top 10 female artists with high brand value. Besides Jennie, there are two members Rosé (ranked 4th) and Jisoo (ranked 6th). The remaining member Lisa ranked 11th.
