During her V Festival performance in Chelmsford on August 23, Katy Perry playfully encouraged all the females in the audience to send their ex-boyfriends a risqué message.
Addressing the audience on the 4Music stage, the celebrity encouraged women to send a funny voicemail message to their ex-partners inspired by her song ‘Ur So Gay’. She then proceeded to perform the chart-topping hit.
Next, she recommended that you delete that number and refrain from making any drunken calls to it.
Before this, Perry had put on a white guitar to perform “One Of The Boys” and playfully smelled her underarm after singing the lyrics “I want to smell like roses, not a baseball team.”
“Hey guys, it’s day two of the V Festival. Is anyone feeling a bit stinky yet?” Perry joked with the audience before performing her hit song ‘H๏t N Cold’. She then shared that these shows would be among her final performances before heading back to the studio to work on new music, following her 2008 album ‘One Of The Boys’.”
As Perry graced the stage adorned with white picket fences and pink flamingos, she kicked off her cover of Queen’s hit song ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by sharing details about her breakfast to the enthusiastic audience.
Upon awakening this morning, I experienced a sense of Englishness and indulged in some baked beans with soldiers. Consequently, the upcoming song is somewhat English, announced Perry as she commenced performing the iconic 1979 hit, igniting a massive audience singalong.
After her afternoon performance, Perry made a request to see the most gorgeous lady in the audience. She finally laid eyes on a blonde lady sitting in the front row, comparing her to a cute kitten. Then, she playfully asked her if she brought Cherry Chapstick with her. Finally, Perry returned to the stage for the finale of her famous song ‘I Kissed A Girl’.
On Twitter, she expressed her excitement and satisfaction with the show, stating “That was an incredible performance! Today was the perfect ending to an amazing year. Thank you to the Brits, you are awesome!”
