Formula 2 and Formula 3 calendars for 2025 revealed

Formula 2 and Formula 3 have announced their calendars for the 2025 season. F2 is once again set to support the Formula 1 race weekend at 14 rounds, while F3 will join both at 10 events across three continents.

Both championships will kick off the season in Melbourne, Australia on March 14-16 before heading to Sakhir for the second round of the year at the Bahrain International Circuit from April 11-13.

Rounds 2 and 3 will be the first back-to-back race weekends of the 2025 Formula 2 campaign, as they will follow F1 to Jeddah from April 18-20 the following weekend.

F2 and F3 will then reunite in Europe for a triple header that starts in Imola, Emilia-Romagna on May 16-18, followed by Monte Carlo, Monaco on May 22-25 and concluding in Barcelona, Spain on May 30 – June 1.

A small break in action follows before both championships reconvene for Round 7 in F2 and Round 6 in F3 in Spielberg, Austria on June 27-29, before heading to Silverstone, UK a week later on July 4-6.

Another double header comes later in the month starting with Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, on July 25-27 before Budapest at the Hungaroring on August 1-3.

The summer break is followed up with a trip to Monza, Italy on September 5-7, with the Temple of Speed playing host to the final round of the Formula 3 season.

Formula 2 will then travel to Baku, Azerbaijan on September 19-21 for Round 12 before a visit to Lusail, Qatar from November 28–30. The season will then conclude at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi on December 5-7.

“It is fantastic to publish the F2 calendar that will again see the series join Formula 1 at 14 Grands Prix next season,” said Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1. “The pyramid system is vital to the long-term success of Formula 1, and to have this close connection between these two series is not only great for our fans who are treated to even more wheel-to-wheel action, but for the drivers who gain competitive experience racing on F1 circuits and can showcase their talent in front of full grandstands, global TV audiences and watching F1 teams.

“The Championship this year is once again delivering exciting racing at every event and I want to pay tribute to the work of Bruno Michel, CEO F2/F3 and his team and all the competitors across the grid. I would also like to thank the FIA for their strategic and fundamental support on this important championship, as well as our long-standing partners Pirelli, Aramco, Dallara and Mecachrome. I am excited to follow the rest of this season and look forward to another great year in 2025.”

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem added: “As a crucial step on the FIA single-seater pyramid, the FIA Formula 2 Championship provides an opportunity for emerging single-seater talent to showcase their skills to a global audience. The 2025 calendar provides challenges for drivers with a blend of traditional and modern circuits and destinations as they strive to become our champions of the future. I look forward to seeing the class of 2025 in action on the world stage.”

“I’m very pleased to announce the F2 2025 calendar, which will comprise the same amount of rounds than the current season – fourteen,” said FIA Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel. “It’s the right balance between European rounds and fly-aways, across three continents, and keeping in mind the costs for our teams and drivers. It’s also a good mixture between old-school tracks and more modern layouts, which both have seen thrilling F2 races in recent years. I’m sure, this will be the case once more in 2025.”
