Fans criticize Future for his brief birthday message to his ten-year-old namesake son, and suggest that the rapper should allow stepfather Russell Wilson to take care of him, so Future can concentrate on his other children.

Future has left people unimpressed with the birthday message he penned to his son, prompting a number of social media users to suggest that the youngster’s stepfather Russell Wilson should ‘have him’ instead.

Yesterday the Atlanta rapper, 40, took to X to wish his son – also named Future – who he shares with ex-fiancée Ciara, a happy 10th birthday, writing: ‘Thank God for Baby Future. More life More blessings…I love you [to] infinity’.

But fans of the Mask Off rapper, who’s alleged to have eight children with eight  different women, turned to an Instagram post made by Future’s stepfather, Russell Wilson, as an example of a ‘better shoutout’ and a more acceptable father figure.

The proud stepdad, 35, who some have labelled baby Future’s ‘real father’, shared a sweet compilation of videos and photos from after Future’s birth up until recent days.

Accompanying the video was a lengthy heartfelt caption that said: ‘Happy birthday Future! The big 10!! We are so proud of you and so grateful for you.

Yesterday Atlanta rapper Future, 40, took to X to wish his son Future – who he shares with ex-fiancée Ciara – a happy 10th birthday with one sentence – a stark contrast to stepdad Russell Wilson’s lengthy message (pictured: the rapper at the 2020 Leaders and Legends Ball in Atlanta)

‘You are our biggest blessing. An amazing son! The best big brother!! An absolute baller! So kind and loving! Keep shining.

‘Keep loving. It is our greatest joy watching you grow into the young man God created you to be! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! God is good!’

Concluding the sweet message were the words ‘We love you forever!’

The 12-year NFL veteran and Cincinnati, Ohio, native later jumped into the comments section of his wife’s birthday post to share more love for Future on his special day.

‘The BEST!!! We love you so much!’ he wrote. God’s love, anointing, and blessing is all over you!’ God First Always! Mom and Dad are so proud of you!’

Eagle-eyed fans have compared the two posts, while some have mocked the rapper – real name Nayvadius DeMun Cash – for a perceived lack of effort in penning a birthday message to his son.

Praising Future’s stepdad, one person wrote: ‘Russ gave him a better shoutout that’s crazy’.

Another joked: ‘Bro we’ve got to let Russell have him… focus on the other 12 [children] my king’.

The Mask Off rapper celebrated his son’s special day with the words: ‘Thank God for Baby Future. More life More blessings…I love you [to] infinity’.

The rapper’s fans turned to an Instagram post made by Russell Wilson as an example of a ‘better shoutout’ and one more acceptable of a father

‘Awwwwww sperm donor with the birthday quote,’ criticized another.

Comparing details between the two posts, another asked: ‘Where’s the slideshow?’

Someone else quipped: ‘Was this supposed to be a happy birthday shoutout to his son??? This **** is tacky lol’.

Elsewhere, fans shared sweet messages with Future, wishing him a happy birthday.

Most of the images in Russell’s tribute showed him alongside the birthday boy in his various uniforms for baseball, basketball and football over the years.

Set to the tune of Todd Galberth’s song ‘New Wine’ featuring Chandler Moore, it also included moments they have shared together in the last 10 years, such as playing video games side-by-side, playing on the beach, and posing in matching black suits before a public event.

Ciara and her eldest son’s dad Future first got together in 2012 and eventually got engaged, but ultimately they decided to go their own ways after about two years of dating.

The singer, actress and entrepreneur would go on to meet her future husband on March 2015, and within a month they announced they were in fact an item.

Wilson proposed to Ciara on March 11, 2016, and the couple secretly tied the knot at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England on July 6, of that same year.

The following April, they welcomed their first child together, Sienna, who would be followed by Win in 2020, and Amora last December.

During her career, Ciara released seven studio albums between 2004 and 2019, appeared in four feature films, which includes the musical period drama film The Color Purple (2023), and made a slew of appearances as herself on television.

Meanwhile, Wilson played 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, guiding the team to two Super Bowls, winning the first one. He moved on to the Denver Broncos for two disappointing seasons, before being benched in a financial move the last few games.

The 12-year NFL veteran and Cincinnati, Ohio native also jumped into the comments section of his wife’s birthday post to share more love for Future on his special day

He has since signed a one-year contract with the Steelers and is set to take part in the team’s mandatory veteran minicamp on June 11-13.

Meanwhile in July last year Future dissed Russell Wilson in a song called Turn Yo Clic Up.

The rapper debuted the track with Quavo where he insulted the Denver Broncos quarterback with the line, ‘I got it out the field, f-k Russell.’

After Ciara started dating the rapper back in 2013, the singing and rapping superstar pair quickly got engaged that same year.

However, the Promise singer reportedly broke it off with Future after he was unfaithful to her during their engagement, according to US Weekly.

Eagle-eyed fans have compared the posts made between Future’s father and stepfather, while some have mocked the rapper – real name Nayvadius DeMun Cash – for a perceived lack of effort in penning a birthday message to his son

To make matters worse, the I Bet singing beauty allegedly found out that Future had an affair with his stylist just a few months after Ciara gave birth to their son, Future Zahir Wilburn.

An insider told the outlet at the time that ‘there was clear evidence when [Ciara] approached Future about the cheating’.

Adding insult to injury, the affair was ‘clearly not just a one-night thing,’ per the source.

The Texan-born beauty moved on with her NFL star beau in 2015, a year after ending her relationship with Future.
