Will Conor McGregor return to the confirmed Road House sequel starring Jake Gyllenhaal

Is the Irish UFC star returning to reprise his role as Knox?

FC star Conor McGregor was deemed entertaining in the Road House film debut as Knox, the villain opposite Jake Gyllenhaal’s Dalton. We knew the movie was a success in the amazon Prime streaming platform but we had no idea how much. A potential sequel was expected if the movie did well and Conor McGregor would get a chance to reprise his role in the movie. The official Amazon Prime account released the news on social media that confirms Road House is getting a sequel. In the news flash, they confirmed that Road House has nearly 80 million view to date, making it one of the most viewed pieces of content in the platform during 2024.

The result of this much success have lured Prime Video executives to push for a sequel that has Jake Gyllenhaal reprising his role as Dalton in the film. There is still no information on whether Conor McGregor will return as Knocx or if director Doug Liman is returning for a sequel. A small spoiler alert is in order. People want to know if McGregor rturning is even possible. In the film, Knox’s ultimate destiny was left unclear despite being left for dead in the final fight scene. There is also still no official date to start production, only confirmation that we are getting a sequel.

Conor McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal were part of arguably the most entertaining fight scenes of 2024. For that scene alone, Prime Video users tuned into it and came out liking what they saw. No action star in the past who was not an actor first was perfect in his first movie. People like Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger come to mind, both Olympic-level athletes who became incredibly successful action stars. Conor McGregor might have a great opportunity to make it happen, especially if he decides to take a few acting lessons of the Stanivslavski method. Here’s what Prime Video announced: “With nearly 80 million viewers to date, Jake Gyllenhaal is set to reprise his role as Elwood Dalton in a Road House sequel.”
