The Unexpected Role Of Jason At The Quartermaine Wedding, There To Protect Sonny And Family?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) surprises everyone showing up at the Quartermaine wedding.

But he’s got an ulterior motive, he’s not just getting back to his Quartermaine roots-he’s there to protect Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and their families!

General Hospital Spoilers – Jason Morgan Knows Sonny’s A Pikeman Target

Truth be told, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) did ask his dad to come to the wedding, but that’s not the main reason he shows up.

He loves his son, without a doubt, but he respects Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) boundaries she requested, although Danny keeps breaking them.

However, he also recognizes that with Sonny attending the wedding, Sonny’s a Pikeman target and Sonny’s and Jason’s families may also be targets with him there.

Jason no doubt has been exposed as having infiltrated the Pikeman organization, and John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) wants to use him as bait.

Protecting Sonny was a big part of his original mission undercover as an FBI informant, and even though Sonny doesn’t trust him, he can’t let him be hurt.

GH Spoilers – So Many Bad Things Have Happened At Weddings

So many bad things have happened at weddings in Port Charles: and not always because of mob hits, there have been other types of criminal activities.

Evil Cassadines, poisoned water supplies, megalomaniac fringe relatives have happened-who can forget Dillon Quartermaine’s (Robert Palmer Watkins) serial killer birth father?

It’s just that weddings are big groups, and a madman could strike at whim-even with all Sonny’s guards there, Jason can’t be too careful, Sonny being there could be a risk!

Port Charles can be a dangerous place in general, but even more so with Sonny at a wedding-Jason can’t help but remember his short wedding to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Were it not for a tipoff, he and Carly could have gone the way of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) but instead, two other mob bosses did.

General Hospital Spoilers – No Mass Casualty Incidents On His Watch

Jason will do all he can as an attendee of the Quartermaine-Chase wedding to ensure there are no mass casualty incidents on his watch, and no attacks on Sonny or anyone.

He knows he’s not the only one there on his guard-Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is there too, along with the Quartermaine’s assistant Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi).

Sonny may not appreciate his presence but then Jason knows that Sonny’s exhibiting massive paranoia, like he’s off his meds or they need readjustment.

Jason has his gun at the ready but has it well concealed, hoping he won’t have to use it; Dante is aware of Sonny’s paranoia as well, so they both watch. Hopefully, nothing untoward will happen and all will go well, but they’re prepared if it doesn’t.
