Amid the ongoing actors SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood, studios are delaying and re-arranging the release dates of some of their biggest upcoming projects.
The latest casualty is Disney’s Snow White re-make, starring Rachel Zegler, whose release date has been moved from March 2024 to March 2025.
The original film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, was released in 1937 and was Disney’s first feature-length animated film. In keeping with its reimagining, the Snow White of 2025 will not be as focused on the romantic subplot and will instead show its protagonist become the leader her father encouraged her to be.
