Jagger And Carly Cross Paths Again — Can He Compete With Her Love For Jason?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) may have come to Port Charles on a mission to make use of his subordinate informant — Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but his reasons for sticking around remain a bit less clear.

Now that he’s found himself in good company with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), he may only be further interested in planting roots and seeing where this game of cat and mouse with her could go. The problem? He’s holding probable criminal charges against her over Jason’s head to get him to do what he wants.

Does that leverage evaporate if he jumps into bed with Carly? That’s the question on everyone’s minds, but isn’t there a bigger question we should be asking? Can Jagger’s mystery and flirtation actually tempt Carly enough to lure her away from the chance she may finally have to be with Jason?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Dpencer Is Tempted To Play With Fire

Logically, Carly knows she shouldn’t take things any further with Jagger than dancing around their clearly mutual attraction to one another. We all saw that coming from a mile away when he first bumped into her at Bobbie’s upon coming into town and being less than transparent about who he was.

Even though Carly ended up feeling like he was scouting her out and seeking information on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she didn’t entirely write the guy off.

Then, when it appeared he was digging for more dirt on her ex — as well as on Jason — she stepped back and let him know she was onto him.

But stumbling upon him being brutally beaten by thugs in an alley was apparently enough for Carly to give this guy another chance. Now, she can’t seem to get him off her mind.

GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny Is Out Of The Equation

In the past, there was virtually no one who could compete with Sonny in Carly’s heart.

Even when it came to Jason, she knew she had to put the father of her children first, despite almost all fans feeling like Carly has truly always loved Jason more — at least since she was mature enough to realize it.

But by then, it was too late to break ties with the mafioso master and move on with Jason. However, things are different now.

Sonny already suspects Carly never really moved on from Jason — after moving on from Sonny and into his best bud’s arm rather quickly two years ago.

Sonny’s continued poor treatment of Jason, Carly, and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) have led her to writing off Sonny as a romantic partner in her life. That chapter of her life is truly closed as far as she is concerned.

General Hospital Spoilers — Is Timing Still The Problem?

Of course, we’ve all been waiting for the circumstance to arrive when Sonny was pushed aside and no one would care. Sonny isn’t bothered by Carly and Jason coupling up and suspects they already are.

He doesn’t think Carly was able to put her feelings for him to the side when she got back together with Sonny after he came back from the grave — and neither do we. But timing has always been the problem for Jason and Carly.

Now, Sonny might not be their issue, and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) may be out of the way, but the Special Agent with the FBI who is forcing Jason to work as an informant by using leverage he has on Carly is the same guy who is about to take interest in her.

If Carly shares his affections, will she pass on Jason to pursue the chemistry firing off between her and Jagger? Can he really hold a candle to Jason and Carly’s love? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
