She’s been promoting her latest movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, with her ex Josh Hutcherson and causing some confusion with the Australian press as to who’s dating who.

But today, the bikini-clad 23-year-old was reunited with her current boyfriend Austin Butler in Hawaii, leaving onlookers with no doubt as to who has Vanessa ‘s heart now.

The couple, who have been dating since last September, are clearly very much in the honeymoon period of their relationship.

The High School Musical actress, who also dated co-star Zac Efron, looked stunning as she sported a tiny red string bikini in Hawaii.

She showed her athletic figure in the attire which she paired with some wooden-style jewellery accessories.

Vanessa and fellow Disney actor Austin, 20, frolicked in the ocean together, kissing and cuddling.

Their lovey-dovey behaviour akin to the last few weeks, with the couple just unable to keep their hands off each other.

When Vanessa and Austin started dating last year, friends said at the time that it was ‘nothing serious’, but the pair now seem to be inseparable.

They holidayed in Miami last month, visited Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and spent Christmas and New Year’s together too.

Austin, who recently co-starred in the movie Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, alongside Vanessa’s best friend Ashley Tisdale, is three years younger than Vanessa.

And despite the fact that Vanessa is now clearly dating Austin, she was still quizzed by an Australian interviewer this week about her relationship with Josh Hutcherson while promoting their new film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in Sydney.

A host asked: ‘So how long have you been going on?’, there was an awkward silence between the pair until Hutcherson, 19, said: ‘We’re not, we were at one point, but she broke my heart.’

‘No, I’m just kidding, that was a while ago, we’re really good friends now.’

While in Australia, the singer wore a floaty orange number and looked boho-chic as she strolled along Bondi Beach in Sydney.

The star was joined by her security guard and an assistant as she took in the sunshine and kicked back during some time off.

Later in the day she went shopping along William Street, Paddington and checked out some of the trendy boutiques in the area before heading across to Glenmore Road.

The tanned actress must have found something she liked as she left the popular shopping area with a large brown bag full of clothes.

Earlier she was bury promoting her latest film with her co-star Hutcherson and the two looked looked very comfortable in each others company.

The couple, who briefly dated while filming last year, appeared to still have some chemistry together as they posed in front of a hoard of photographers.

The film sees Hutcherson playing Sean Anderson, who partners with his mother’s boyfriend (Dwayne Johnson) on a mission to find his grandfather (Sir Michael Caine), who is allegedly missing on a mythical island.

Hudgens plays a tour guide named Kailani, who ends up falling for Sean.

The actress admitted she jumped at the chance to work alongside Caine, telling the Melbourne Herald Sun: ‘It was a great cast, and we had so much fun.

‘We filmed in Hawaii, which was paradise, and made something that’s fun and light-hearted for the whole family.’

The 3D action adventure is a follow-up to 2008 film Journey To The Centre Of The Earth.
