A TV series, Finding Magic Mike, then debuted last year and was followed up by the Magic Mike Live show, which premiered in Las Vegas.
Director Steven told Deadline that watching the stage show inspired him to return to work on a third instalment of the film series.
He said: ‘As soon as I saw what Channing, Reid, and the Magic Mike choreographic team did with the live show, I said, “We have to make another movie.” Mike Lane’s dream of connecting people through dance must be realised.’
