Mbappe agreed to join Real Madrid, a record bribe

French media confirmed that Mbappe agreed to join Madrid’s Royal Football Army on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

The French striker will end all speculation about his future by deciding to join Real Madrid – the team he has admired since childhood.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna confirmed that Mbappe has reached a basic agreement with the Spanish giant.

Kylian Mbappe is receiving 25 million Euros/season in Paris. However, this number will decrease to 15 million Euros/season at Real Madrid. Despite a significant salary reduction, Mbappe will still be Los Blancos’ highest-paid player.

Mbappe has reached agreements with Real Madrid. However, PSG and Real Madrid will not make an official announcement in the near future because they can still meet in the Champions League.

Mbappe accepted a salary cut to join Real Madrid but will receive a bribe of up to 100 million Euros. The French striker also retains 80% of his image copyright in any commercial contract he signs after becoming a Real Madrid player. This number is completely different from the usual 50/50 split that Real applies to rookies.

Mbappe is expected to wear Luka Modric’s number 10 shirt next season. The Croatian midfielder was not given a new contract at the Bernabeu. However, Marca reported that Modric has received an offer to stay and work on Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff.

Kylian Mbappe is expected to be the final piece to help Real Madrid dominate Europe in the next decade. Currently, Los Blancos’ squad is also very strong with top stars like Vinicius Junior or Jude Bellingham.

Also this week, La Liga announced salary limits for clubs. Real Madrid is the team with the highest salary cap, at 727 million Euros, meaning they can recruit Mbappe without having to sell the player. Meanwhile, Barca’s salary cap is only 204 million Euros.
