Keith’s songs, albums, and music videos rocketed up the iTunes charts after he passed away. His 35 Biggest Hits album also claimed the #1 spot on the all-genre iTunes album chart.

They 35 Biggest Hits album eventually reached the #1 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart as well.

Additionally, Keith posthumously broke a chart record previously held by Taylor Swift and Kenny Rogers.

Keith claimed nine of the top ten spots on the Country Digital Song Sales chart following his death. This made him the first artist to ever occupy 90% of the chart’s top ten slots.

The previous record was 70%, which Swift set in 2010 after releasing her album Speak Now. Rogers tied that record following his death in 2020.

Toby Keith’s Music Dominated The Digital Song Sales Chart

A new report from Forbes details how Toby Keith experienced the best sales week of his career following his death. His music dominated the all-genre Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart, claiming eight of the available 25 spots.

Forbes states this was Keith’s “best performance ever on the chart that focuses on the bestselling tunes in the country.”

Only one song outranked Keith on the chart. Tracy Chapman’s original version of “Fast Car” reached #1 following her extraordinary performance with Luke Combs at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Keith made his first showing at the #2 position with his impactful song “Don’t Let the Old Man In.” The track sold nearly 27,000 copies in the referenced tracking period. Forbes states this is Keith’s best-ever placement on the Digital Song Sales chart.

“Don’t Let the Old Man In” appeared on the Digital Song Sales chart before, but didn’t rank as high. Three of Keith’s other songs that previously appeared on the chart also ranked higher than they did in the past.
