Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has tried to motivate his teammates to get a win in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas by promising his team another trip to Las Vegas to celebrate.
The Chiefs are set to play a rematch of the 2020 Super Bowl when they recorded a 31-20 over the San Francisco 49ers.
Kansas City will also have the chance to win back-to-back Super Bowls after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in last season’s big game.
This year’s big game will play out amid the bright lights of Sin City but Mahomes insisted the Chiefs’ trip to Las Vegas is all business.
‘This is a business trip. I told the guys that if we win, I’ll bring everyone back to Vegas to celebrate,’ Mahomes told NFL Network’s James Palmer.

Along with using a second trip back to Sin City to try and motivate his teammates, Mahomes indicated that he’s ‘doing whatever it takes’ to lift the Lombardi trophy for the second straight year.
‘It’s humbling, because I never thought I would be in this many Super Bowl games,’ Mahomes said, adding that it ‘truly is remarkable’ that he’s had four opportunities so far to play in the NFL’s biggest game of the year.
‘I don’t take it for granted, because you never know if you’re going to be able to be back in this game.’
If Mahomes can secure the win this weekend it would give him his third Super Bowl trophy and put him in a rare group of players in NFL history.
The fact that Mahomes would have accomplished that milestone in only his seventh year in the NFL would also be possibly the best start to a career of any player in history.
