Insiders say the two world-famous fashion queens are hoping to join forces on an exciting new project
They’ve surprised fans with their unlikely friendship over the years and, last week, Kim Kardashian, 42 – who’s been a long-time fan of Victoria Beckham’s label – called the 40-year-old designer her “fashion ski muse” when sharing a throwback snap of the fellow mum-of-four donning a Chanel ski suit with her 364 million Instagram followers.
And insiders tell Closer how the entrepreneurs are taking their adoration of each other to the next level amid secret talks about a joint collaboration.
A source says, “Victoria has always admired Kim and is a huge fan of Skims, her style evolvement and her make-up and beauty line, which she took inspiration from – as well as advice from Kim – when creating her own.
“She’s been very grateful for all the support, both publicly and privately, she’s received from Kim, who has such a huge global influence, and after years of talking about doing something together, they finally met up in London in October to get the ball rolling.
“Kim attended her fashion show in Paris in September but they’d been too busy to get together in private, so Vic invited Kim for dinner when she was in town the following month.
“They met in a private dining room at Claridge’s hotel and started brainstorming ideas for a joint fashion line and launching an exclusive beauty line together.
“It was the first time they’d been alone just the two of them and they chatted for hours – getting an insight into each other’s businesses and brands, as well as discussing life as busy working mums of four and the juggle that comes with that.
“They’ve continued conversations over the last few months with texts and phone calls back and forth, and they’re hoping to meet again soon with their branding and design teams to get things rolling.
“Vic would love for her label to really take off in the US and, with Kim’s influence and seeing what her support has already done, she is really excited about their upcoming project.”

Their friendship began in 2010 when the then 29-year-old reality star, Kim, expressed her excitement about the former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer joining Twitter.
She wrote on X – formerly known as Twitter – “OMG one of my fashion icons has joined twitter! Fashion week is now every week with Victoria on here!”
Victoria – aka Posh – wrote back, “So kind, love ur show” in reference to Kim’s family reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
It wasn’t until nine years later when the pair met face-to-face at the launch of Victoria’s beauty collaboration with Violet Gray in Los Angeles that their mutual respect for one another turned into a real friendship.

A month later, Posh took to Instagram to thank her fellow mum-of-four for sending a collection of Skims goodies, which prompted her to send Kim a pair of boots and beauty supplies from her latest collection.
Proving their adoration for one another goes beyond gifts, in 2020 Posh reposted a snap of Kim and her famous sisters dressed up as the Spice Girls with her 32.6 million followers in appreciation of her pal’s devotion to the band which made her a star.
And after exclusively designing a custom-pink silk gown for Kim to wear to her debut fashion show in Paris last year, Posh revealed she would make it part of her 2024 line.

“I immediately wanted it,” she gushed after the reality star wowed on the front row alongside Victoria’s husband, David, 48. “She [Kim] looked incredible.”
Last month, it was revealed that Victoria’s struggling fashion line finally turned a profit for the first time in 15 years after racking up losses of £66 million since its 2008 launch.
And pals say she is hopeful her latest collaboration with Kim – recently crowned one of the most powerful women in the world – will help her brand further propel on an international scale.

The source adds, “Vic feels very grateful for not only the friendship she and Kim have forged, but for the loyalty and support she has shown towards her business ventures every step of the way.
“She’s really excited about getting their collaboration started and hopes this will be the first of many joint ventures with Kim – as well as a long-lasting friendship.”
