After Saturn initiated a Buster Call, the fate of Egghead Island hangs in the balance. Can the Straw Hat crew prevent another tragedy?
The Egghead arc is entering its final stage. Ever since the arc began, fans have had the opportunity to learn about some of the most important characters in One Piece. It was also the first time that one of the members of the Five Elders got personally involved. The Egghead arc has been filled with all kinds of twists and turns, making it one of the most unpredictable arcs in One Piece.
In the recent chapter, there was a massive development that could potentially change the outcome of the arc. Saturn was in complete control, as no one was able to stand up to him. As he was readying himself to kill Bonney, Kuma arrived unexpectedly. He used his body to shield Bonney and stop Saturn from harming her. After a while, Kuma punched Saturn, and the latter was visibly frightened. The former Shichibukai damaged him a lot, but Saturn managed to recover almost instantly. Saturn understood that the tables had turned, so he decided to issue a Buster Call.
What Will Happen During The Buster Call
The Buster Call is not an ordinary thing that can be used by just anyone. It is a dangerous weapon that is given to those who hold a certain level of authority. In a normal Buster Call, there are five Vice Admirals and a ton of Marine battleships. But fans already saw nine Vice Admirals and a fleet of hundred ships making their way to Egghead Island. All the Vice Admirals possess Haki, so they will have no problem hurting any of the Devil Fruit users on the island. Some of them may even have Devil Fruits of their own, which they are going to use to neutralize all threats.
Aside from the Vice Admirals, there are hundreds of Marine soldiers aboard the ships. While they may not be as strong as the Vice Admirals, they can still cause problems with their sheer numbers. They will be equipped with all kinds of weapons, which makes them a danger to the lives of everyone on Egghead Island. To make matters worse, there are more individuals on Egghead that want to exterminate Vegapunk and the others.
Who Else Is Going To Get Involved
The biggest boost to the Marines is going to be the presence of Admiral Kizaru. He is one of the strongest fighters in the Marines, and he is capable of fighting against Luffy. Kizaru is endowed with the power of the Pika Pika no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create and control light at will. Kizaru can use the power to create light clones to confuse his opponent and catch them off-guard. Kizaru can even launch multiple light beams, leaving immense destruction in his wake. He is also proficient at using Busoshoku Haki and Kenbunshoku Haki.
Rob Lucci is also on the island, and he is also a big threat to the lives of the heroes. Lucci is a follower of Dark Justice, and he believes in killing everyone who gets in his way. Lucci possesses the Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that enables him to transform into a leopard. As it is a carnivorous Zoan, it grants more strength and endurance than other Zoan types. Lucci has awakened his Devil Fruit, so his physical abilities are significantly enhanced.
Above all, St. Jaygarcia Saturn is also present on Egghead. He has an unnamed Devil Fruit at his disposal, which lets him transform into a hybrid between a spider and an Oni. With his massive appendages, he can easily wound his opponents. Saturn’s regeneration powers are nothing short of ridiculous. He can heal almost instantly from any kind of injury, making him nearly impossible to kill. Saturn also has a mysterious power with which he can stop other people from moving. This ability effectively allows him to pick off defenseless opponents.
Will Egghead Survive The Buster Call?
Things don’t look too good for the people on Egghead Island. The Marines, the Cipher Pol, and Saturn are all very powerful, and they can easily overwhelm the heroes with their numbers. The situation will become even worse if Saturn starts using the Seraphim. For now, the Straw Hats’ best chance of survival is Bartholomew Kuma. If he can wound Saturn seriously, then the Marines will be in disarray. They will have to tend to the Celestial Dragon and ensure that he does not die.
While Kuma leaving with Bonney would be a dream scenario, the odds of that happening are incredibly low. Luffy can take down Kizaru, but he will be drained again. Zoro is engaged in a tussle with Lucci, and the latter is not willing to back down. Sanji, Bonney, and Jimbei are still free, and they can definitely provide some much-needed backup. The best scenario for the Straw Hats is that Kuma stays behind and makes one last sacrifice to ensure that his daughter and the others get off the island safely.
