Justin Kluivert gave Luis Diaz a really hard tackle in the 35th minute. The Bournemouth player deliberately trod on the Liverpool team’s number 7’s ankle.
In agony, Luis Diaz was lying on the pitch. The Colombian athlete even needed to take a brief break from the field to receive medical attention.
Justin Kluivert, though, was not eliminated. This tackle did not even result in a yellow card for him.
Coach Jurgen Klopp became enraged at this. He reacted angrily to the fourth referee on the field. This is not the first time the referee has made poor calls against Liverpool this season.
Liverpool was having a lot of trouble against Bournemouth at the moment. But then things started to work in The Kop’s favor.
Jurgen Klopp’s team sprung into action in the second half following a challenging first half. Thanks to doubles from Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, they scored four goals in a succession, winning the game 4-0.
Liverpool’s victory solidifies their position atop the rankings. Despite having played one extra game, the Kop has 48 points, five more than Man City.
