Lakers’ LeBron James wouldn’t let interview stop him from watching Bronny, USC

The Los Angeles Lakers are now at a .500 record. Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and D’Angelo Russell had big scoring outbursts to propel their team to their 21st win of the season. It was no easy feat as Luka Doncic was doing everything for his squad to get back up. But, this was not the focus of The King after the game. Instead, he was locked in on Bronny James’ performance with the USC basketball program.

After the win over the Mavericks, LeBron James had media duties to tend to. The Lakers star always gleefully agrees to this but his attention seemed divided, via David McMenamin of ESPN.

James was visibly rooting for his son at the USC basketball game against Arizona. He was even heard saying, “Pull it. Shoot it. Oh, good pass. Catch the f****ing ball, man. He’s doing well.”

He would then be asked about Anthony Davis’ performance before the Lakers star got distracted once again. Overall, his great fatherhood was showing as he immediately rushed to the locker room to see Bronny James play.

The Lakers star and his son at USC basketball

Both of them had games tonight. LeBron James gave life to the Lakers offense just like what he did in previous nights. His all-around playmaking netted him 25 points while also finding tight passes for eight dimes. This 33-minute performance was rounded out with eight boards ripped straight out of the air. His co-star Anthony Davis was an assist short of finishing with a 28-point triple-double but they still got the win. Mix this with D’Angelo Russell scoring 29 points and the Lakers ended up winning with 127 to 110.

The USC basketball program did not have the same fate as his dad. Bronny’s squad suffered their 10th loss of the season to Arizona. DJ Rodman led the way with his 16 points but it was all too much as the Wildcats had five players recording double-digit scoring numbers. Bronny still had a serviceable production. He notched 11 points while leading the team with six assists. His all-around acumen may have come from the Lakers star as he finished the game with five rebounds.
