CANDLE: HERE’S THE ONE THAT LASTS A MONTH

Candles have always been used in our homes, but a few centuries ago their use was to illuminate rooms and then took hold to create particular atmospheres .

In fact, many candles are used during the bath to relax or to create an intimate moment with our partner or even during massages to make everything more characteristic.

Scented candles have become a real item spread all over the world to such an extent that the actress Gwyneth Paltrow has put on sale to support the fight against violence against women, one that recalls the smell of the female genital system.

But on the market, it is possible to find all types of possible smells , such as that of books, or petrol, much loved perfumes that can hardly be found in nature and are therefore artificially recreated.

But there is a candle that could stay lit for an entire month and to make it you just need to use some ingredients that we can easily find in our homes with a little labor.

How To Build It

First of all you need to put about half of the water in a glass and immerse a slice of half cut into four parts and some orange peel and then add two slices of lemon cut into rounds, some cloves , cinnamon and of star anise .

A little cooking oil should be added to this and we will see that the water inside will tend to rise and at this point we can add essential oil of any type, although lavender oil is recommended .

Once this is done, we take a plastic cup and cut the edges vertically, leaving the bottom intact, and pierce it in the center, inserting a piece of string , tying a knot towards the outside.

The bottom of the glass with the string must be inserted inside and pushed until the water reaches the edge and the string remains outside the mixture for a long time to be able to light it later.

In this way, we will obtain a candle that will tend to last for a very long time and which will perfume our entire house and its function could even last for a whole month.

You just have to be careful not to let the string go into the water and if this happens, just replace the bottom of the glass and the string, and our scented candle will last a long time.

This operation can be carried out by using another type of fruit or spices inside the glass depending on the scent we want to have, being careful not to use products that can decompose after a few days.
