The NFL playoffs will officially get underway on Saturday, with Wild Card Weekend showcasing some intriguing matchups, with perhaps the most intriguing being the Miami Dolphins taking on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Although this season has been a disappointment by the Chiefs’ standards, everyone starts at zero when the postseason gets started, which is when superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes takes his game to another level.
Along with having the opportunity to advance to the next round of the playoffs and come one step closer to repeating as Super Bowl champions, Mahomes can pass one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history on Saturday with a win over the Dolphins.
According to KC Sports Network, Mahomes will surpass Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman in playoff wins if he can lead the Chiefs over the Dolphins.
As of right now, the Chiefs are slight favorites to get the win over the visiting Dolphins on Saturday, with Miami being shorthanded defensively and Kansas City being the more experienced team in these kinds of situations.
With the Chiefs being a disappointment throughout the regular season, Kansas City and its undisputed leader under center will be more motivated than ever to make a statement on Saturday with a big win over the Dolphins.
Although Miami is an incredibly talented team, especially on the offensive side of the football, which the Chiefs can’t say this season, Kansas City should get the win and see Mahomes eclipse Aikman in the playoff win column.
