An awe-inspiring comeback in the works? Gary Woodland had taken a break from the game of golf owing to a brain tumor that kept him away from the sport. Fortunately, it seems the PGA Tour pro is back in good condition, as he recently confirmed his return to the gentleman’s game on the Honolulu greens at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

However, surprisingly, his resurgence, although fortunate, might not spell good for Tiger Woods. Moreover, the PGA Tour pro would be leaving the legend of the game tailing behind, it seems, courtesy of OWGR!
Gary Woodland leaves Tiger Woods tailing behind
Despite an early comeback by Woods at the Hero World Challenge, it appears he still fell behind Woodland on the world rankings. The former was able to rake in a total of 2.40799 points from his appearance at the Albany Golf Club. But even so, he could only jump from 1328 to 898 back then.
However, currently, the 39-year-old is placed at No.92 on the board while the legend of the game is tailing way behind at 887. Even if the legend of golf decides to participate and emerges victorious at the Sony Open, as opposed to starting his year at the Genesis Invitational in February, he may still fall behind his fellow American who has a total of 49.10648 as opposed to the 4.07117 which Mr. T currently boasts.
