Dua Lipa switches her red locks for a choppy blonde wig as she shares behind the scenes snaps from Argylle film after her boozy New Year’s Eve

Dua Lipa fooled fans into thinking she had switched up her red locks for 2024 as she uploaded a slew of snaps rocking a choppy blonde bob.

The singer, 28, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share some behind-the-scenes photos from a hair and make-up test for her film Argylle, after partying into the early hours on New Year’s Eve.

Dua cut a glamorous yet edgy figure in the peroxide blonde wig as the crew experimented with creating a look for her character, La Grange.

In the series of shots, Dua showed off graphic purple eyeshadow. She wrote: ‘Hair & Make Up test for Argylle – out in theaters Feb 2nd!!’

Fans took to the comment section and wrote: ‘You look so beautiful with this hair look’.

The songstress takes on the role of Henry Cavill’s love interest in what is her acting debut.

Both Henry, 40, and Dua, who had a small role in Barbie, play characters out of novelist Elly Conway’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) book.

The actor takes on the role of Agent Argylle, while Dua plays another spy.

The plot follows the introverted spy novelist drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her books get a little too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate.

When Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a spy, shows up to save her from being kidnapped, Elly and her beloved cat Alfie are plunged into a covert world.

The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, John Cena, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose and Rob Delaney.

Wrapped up in a white dressing gown at the end of the night, Dua pulled a series of funny faces as she posed for close-up shots.

She captioned the post: ‘Anyone else do this after 5 negronis? Happy 2024!!!!’

Dua looked effortlessly chic for the evening celebrations as she wowed in a chocolate brown halterneck dress.

Accentuating her slim physique, the dress featured a slit from her chest all the way down to her torso, as the skirt trailed along the floor.

Dua was joined by her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa, and siblings Rina, 22, and Gjin, 18, as they posed together for a sweet family photo.

Sharing a collection of snaps from the celebrations, Dua looked like she was enjoying her Negroni as she held it up for a snap with her friend.

Dua told fans she felt ‘beyond lucky’ to take a year-end trip to India.

The singer also shared several snaps from her time in the country, in which she appeared to be making the most of her excursion.

‘Thank you to all the wonderful people here who have shown us so much love, kindness, hospitality and generosity. This experience has been deeply meaningful,’  she captioned her post.
