There has not been a great deal to shout about as far as records and statistics go for Chelsea this season, with them ending this calendar year about as badly as it started.
They are currently sitting 10th in the league, with the bad memories of Molineux playing on the minds of some supporters as they tried to enjoy Christmas Day with their friends and families.
What can be said though is that individual performances do at least look as if they have improved from where they were at the start of the year.
One player who some will not have actually expected to even be with the club for this season is Thiago Silva. The veteran defender remains an important part of their side even at the age of 39.
Even Mauricio Pochettino though would not have been expecting to have relied on the Brazilian as much as he has this season, with a variety of injury issues affecting those at the back.
When he is on the pitch though, the composure he brings is clear to see, and this seems to actually be represented in official statistics.
Silva the most accurate passer
A stat by WhoScored sees the defender boast a pass success rate of 94.8%, which actually sits as the highest in the entire league.
While he has impressed with the ball at his feet, there are reports that an exit and return to Brazil looks likely at the end of the season.
If this is the case, Pochettino will likely be looking at the rest of his squad in order to find a partnership that can carry them to the future.
This is likely to consist of Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile, with the former so far playing most of his football in an unfamiliar left-back position due to injuries in that role.
