On the evening of December 25, the year-end music festival of Korean television station SBS – SBS Gayo Daejeon 2023 – became a media focus, gathering a series of famous Kpop artists and groups. The elaborately invested stages bring a night of satisfying music.
NewJeans brings a medley of hits “New Jeans”, “Ditto” and “OMG”; (G)I-DLE performs the Christmas version of “Queencard”; LE SSERAFIM chose to perform “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife” and “Perfect Night” remix; Anton (RIIZE), Sung Han Bin (ZeroBaseOne) and Taesan (BoyNextDoor) cover “Jingle Bell”…

Besides, many Gen 4 music groups choose to cover the hit songs of their predecessors. Typically, rookie ZeroBaseOne covered “Couple” by first generation boy band Sechskies; 4 groups &TEAM, BoyNextDoor, RIIZE, ZeroBaseOne sang “Miracle” by Super Junior; aespa covers “Miroric” by senior TVXQ.
Most notable are the solo stages of ITZY’s Yuna and TXT’s Yeonjun with cover versions of solo songs by two of today’s top Kpop stars, Jennie (Blackpink) and Jungkook (BTS).

However, the audience’s reactions to these two performances were different. If Yeonjun (TXT) was praised for choosing the hit song “3D” by his group senior, Jungkook, then Yuna (ITZY) caused controversy when she brought Jennie’s “You & Me” to the stage.
On social networks, many opinions say that Yuna’s voice is not suitable for this song. Some viewers commented frankly, saying Yuna’s voice was “sour”, “sharp” and not strong enough compared to Jennie.

However, Yuna’s appearance and beauty are a big plus for the performance. The female idol shows off her sharp face, highlighted by her bright red hair, along with her extremely impressive “hourglass” figure.
Yuna’s waist-hip ratio has always been a hot topic in Kpop. She has been praised many times for her “unreal” body. This time, the youngest member of ITZY did not disappoint fans, choosing a white performance outfit with a crop-top and short skirt, automatically compatible with Jennie’s balletcore style.
