Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet get chummy with each other while sitting courtside at Knicks-Raptors game in NYC

Ben Stiller, 54, has been a wildly successful actor, writer and director since the 1980s, who hits include Reality Bites, Meet The Parents, Tropic Tunder and the Night At The Museum trilogy.

Timothee Chalamet, 24, is a rising star who had his breakthrough roles in the last few years in Call Me By Your Name, Beautiful Boy, The King and Little Women.

And who knew the two stars were good enough friends to sit courtside together at the Knicks-Raptors basketball game at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday.

Chummy: Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet looked like old pals when they sat courtside together at the Knicks-Raptors basketball game in New York City on Friday

With his 14-year-old son Quinlin sitting to his right, Stiller was all smiles as soaked-in all the high-flying action on the hardwood with Chalamet to his left.

The New York native kept it casual-cool in the fashion department in black jeans, sweater and sneakers.

Also a New York native, Chalamet cheered on the Knicks dressed in black jeans, black hoodie jacket and multi-colored sneakers.

Stiller’s son was a near carbon copy of his dad in an all-black outfit.

The trio were there to lend their fan support to the Knicks, who have been struggling as a team this season, as well as most years since around 2000.

But on this night the home team showed promise by matching the defending champions basket for basket most of the way.

In the end, though, it was Toronto who made the key shots to best the Knicks 118 to 114.

In recent years, Stiller has been more focused on his directorial career.

He’s attached to the upcoming TV comedy-romance Super Sad True Love Story, as well as the drama Severence that stars Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower and Adam Scott.

In 2018 he directed Arquette in the limited Showtime series Escape At Dannemora.
