Let us take you back to December 2020, a time when Kimye was still a couple despite looming separation rumors. FYI, Kim filed for divorce two months later.

TMZ claimed the pair splashed $1 million individually on each other’s Christmas gifts, with Ye presenting her with five Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600s, while Kim purchased him several artworks by James Turrell.

The luxury vehicles reportedly cost $200K each and the famous Turrell light installations can cost over $75K each.

The Kardashian and West family are massive fans of the American artist. Kendall’s Mediterranean-style home boasts a glowing lavender-colored Turrell wall sculpture worth $750K, while Kylie Jenner has a matching artwork in a bright fuchsia hue.

The Kardashian-West divorce was finalized on November 29, 2022 meaning both Kim and Kanye won’t be shelling out seven figures on each other this year. Instead, the rapper will be showering wife Bianca Censori, while Kim can either treat herself or spend an extra $1 million on her four children. After all, an insider revealed she can “easily get past the million-dollar mark” when it comes to her kids’ designer Christmas gifts.

$1 million was a measly figure for the power couple who had a combined net worth of over 2 billion in 2021. Two years prior, Ye purchased a $14 million beachfront Miami condo as a Christmas surprise for Kim.

The 4700sqft apartment features four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, and a wrap-around terrace balcony. Luxury amenities include a spa, a private gym, and a concierge.

February 2019 reports claimed Ye had backed out of the apartment deal as Kim wasn’t thrilled about the grand gesture but the rapper set the record straight. The father of four said he pulled out after the media “leaked” the sale, but insiders disagree, claiming he was public about the purchase and even brought a film crew to document the process. His reps later said the couple thought the location wasn’t secluded enough for their family.
