Oleksandr Usyk claims he is ‘singing and dancing in Tyson Fury’s head’ as the Ukrainian laughs off the Gypsy King’s attempted mind games ahead of undisputed heavyweight title clash

Oleksandr Usyk wasted no time crashing into the verbal sparring with Tyson Fury as he gloated he is ‘singing and dancing’ in the Gypsy King’s head.

The long-awaited blockbuster title clash between the heavyheights has been confirmed for February 17 in Saudi Arabia with all the belts on the line.

Tyson Fury dubbed his Ukrainian foe a ‘ugly little sausage man’ ahead of their press conference, proving that the mind games have already begun.

And Usyk has hit back, claiming as per Sky Sports: ‘I’m already in his head… I’m singing and dancing there in his head’.

The two were supposed to bump fists on December 23 after a year of talks between their camps.

The Gypsy King called the Ukrainian an ‘ugly little sausage man’ before their press conference

Locking foreheads after their explosive press conference, the two had to be separated

However, those plans were knocked back after Fury took some punishment in his split decision win over Francis Ngannou in October, with the Gypsy King even hitting the deck against the hammer-blow puncher.

Usyk was ringside that night and watched as Fury, sluggish by his standards, recorded an unconvinving win against the former UFC champion, who has now been ranked as the No 10 heavyweight by the World Boxing Council.

Fury had to be held back from Usyk as they squared up to one another after an inflammatory press conference.

The Englishman shouted ‘I’m going to knock you out’ over chants of ‘Usyk, Usyk,’ from the Ukrainian’s camp, before calling Usyk ‘a p**** with an earring, like a little girl.’

While fans wanted to see the two fight this year after a disappointing 2023 for heavyweight boxing, they will get one of the biggest cards in history on December 23.

The ‘Day of Reckoning’ will see Anthony Joshua slog it out against Otto Wallin, while Deontay Wilder will face Joseph Parker on the undercard.

The Joshua-Wilder fight is one that fans crave, too; the latter hinted this week that their dreams could finally come true in 2024.

Posting a picture of him alongside AJ’s promoted Eddie Hearn, the Bronze Bomber wrote on Instagram: ‘Boxing fans will get what they’ve been waiting YEARS for. The only thing that stands in the way now is Dec 23rd’.
