Controversial sports analyst Skip Bayless ripped into Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes during Monday’s episode of FS1‘s “Undisputed” for complaining about officials calling a rare offensive offsides to negate what would have been an incredibly highlight play by tight end Travis Kelce.

Bayless, 72, called Mahomes a “spoiled brat” for “crying like a baby” over referees throwing the flag when wide receiver Kadarius Toney lined up offsides. Chiefs now have an 8-5 record and have lost three of their last four contests.

Patrick Mahomes furious with officials after Chiefs loss to Bills

“Post-Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes has become the face of this league,” Bayless said. “He’s done a lot of great things. He is an all-time great player. He’s been an all-time great off the field also; role model, wise, how he carries himself, handles himself – until that moment at the end of that game.

“I was shocked by how he lost it, because silly me, I first thought he was throwing a fit about Toney being offsides! I thought he’d just lost his mind like, ‘How dare this kid do this to us and blow this game for us because we’re teetering, we’re reeling.’ But no, it was all directed at the referees. And that was spoiled brat behavior to me.”

NFL focusing on calling offensive offsides

Mahomes, 28, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had never experienced an offensive offsides call in their entire career.

Reid, 65, explained after the game how officials usually give him a heads up before calling that play, but the NFL has evidently changed its ways this season.

Referees called offensive offside just three times throughout the last two seasons, but this year have thrown the flag on that play 11 times, though seven of them were on “push tush” plays. The NFL is investigating Mahomes and Reid’s claims.
