Angelina Jolie’s allegations on Brad Pitt following their divorce had a significant impact on his public image. But it doesn’t seem to bother the superstar.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had an open relationship for over a decade. The Hollywood stars share six kids together. After the birth of their daughter in 2006, Shiloh Nouvel, the duo, adopted their son Pax Thien from Vietnam. In 2008, they welcomed their twins, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline. Jolie had adopted Maddox and Zahara before her relationship with Pitt.
However, their relationship came to an end when Jolie filed for divorce against the Babylon actor in 2016. Angie filed court papers accusing her ex-husband of drunkenly attacking her and their children during a private plane flight.
Though the actor denied the allegations, the news instantly sent shockwaves in the industry, which kind of tarnished Pitt’s image. However, the situation doesn’t seem to bother the superstar anymore.
Brad Pitt Reflects on Legacy Amid Angelina Jolie’s Allegations
In an interview with GQ Brad Pitt was asked whether he worried about the narratives that had been written about him since the divorce. The actor replied:
“What did Churchill say? History will be kind to me: I know because I’ll write it myself. I don’t really care about protecting the narrative. That’s when I get a bit pessimistic, I get in my oh-it-all-goes-away-anyway kind of thinking. But I know the people who love me know me. And that’s enough for me.”
It looks like the 59-year-old is confident about the respect that he has earned in the industry over the years. AJ’s allegations almost tarnished his image. However, a source close to Pitt told the BBC that Angelina Jolie’s claims were simply false:
“She continues to rehash, revise, and reimagine her description of an event that happened six years ago by adding completely untrue information each time she fails to get what she wants,” said the source.
He knows that he has worked hard enough to be remembered in history. despite the questionable claims against him.
Brad Pitt is Literally a Cool Guy
Brad Pitt is a chill human being. When Pitt was young, he started with nothing. Only a few of his fans would know that he was going to be a journalist. Hollywood’s handsome hunk almost graduated from college with a degree in journalism. But just two weeks before graduating, he decided to pursue a career in acting instead.
It’s enough to guess how “chill” he was. Even his Killing Them Softly co-star, Scoot McNairy, told E! News that, “He’s a guy’s guy. When you look up in the dictionary the word guy, you see a picture of Brad. He’s just super cool, super chill, super normal, and super down-to-earth.” The actor has always effortlessly maintained his composure, and there’s no doubt he still keeps it cool even today.
