Building on his TιkTok popularity, Derulo signed with Atlantic Records last year. Not only did he gain widespread recognition, but the financial rewards were also significant.
Estimates suggest that an account of his magnitude can earn approximately $75,000 in advertising income per video, although Derulo himself claims to make “far more” than that.
Regardless of one’s opinion on Derulo’s eccentric videos, which have included unusual acts like eating corn from a power drill or even shaving off his eyebrow, it is safe to assume that his bank account is now healthier than ever.
While already owning a $3 million mansion in the distant Tarzana area of Los Angeles, the Florida native decided to invest further. Public records indicate that he spent $3.6 million on a nearly-new home in Encino.
In December 2020, an anonymous buyer purchased the modern farmhouse, spanning approximately 5,000 square feet, for $3.3 million.
However, this new owner quickly decided to sell, relisting the property merely six months later. It took Derulo an additional eight months to secure the purchase.
