Jennie (BlackPink) is caught up in controversy

The article on Latto’s page accidentally revived Jennie’s (BlackPink) controversy about religion, the singer’s fans asked for an apology.

According to Hindustan Times , in a series of notable events related to Kpop, singer Latto’s Instagram post ignited the controversy surrounding Jennie (BlackPink).

The incident began when Jennie was criticized for listening to Frank Ocean ‘s song Bad Religion , which was said to be disrespectful to the Muslim community. The keyword Jennie apologizes to Muslims became a trend on Twitter.

Latto was dragged into the case of Jennie disrespecting Muslims.

Latto accidentally got caught up in the conflict when she shared a screenshot of her name trending, highlighting the impending release of her upcoming song. However, the adjacent hashtags have content that revives the debate that Jennie lacks respect for Muslims.

This move sparked a wave of reactions from BlackPink fans. BLINK believes that Latto accidentally tarnished Jennie’s reputation and asked the female singer to apologize. The controversy widened as people supported and criticized both female singers.

BlackPink was previously caught up in some cultural accusations.

Currently, the keyword Latto apologizes to Jennie has become a trend on social networks. Fans believe that Latto indirectly supports the accusations against the 27-year-old rapper. Some other fans believe that Latto may not have known about the charges.

According to Hindustan Times , the controversy surrounding Jennie’s accusations of disrespecting religion further sparked incidents of BlackPink’s lack of cultural sensitivity in the past. Previously, the YG Entertainment group was said to be lacking in sophistication when it came to including religious elements in MVs and concerts.

Latto’s real name is Alyssa Michelle Stephens, born in 1998. She first appeared in the reality television competition The Rap Game in 2016 with the stage name Miss Mulatto and won, becoming a rising rapper in the US.
