Vin Diesel helped Ludacris‘ eldest daughter pull together a special surprise for her father as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
The Fast & Furious star, 55, who joined other celebrities such as Queen Latifah and LL Cool J for the special festivities, had stepped up to the podium to give a heartwarming speech to his fellow Fast X castmate, 45.
Towards the end, Diesel began to give shout outs to the rapper’s daughters, Cai, nine, Cadence, seven, and one-year-old, Chance, per Access Hollywood. However, the actor pointed out that his oldest daughter, Karma, was missing from the event.
The Grammy winner, who was standing next to the podium, quickly leaned over to inform Vin that she was speaking at Spelman College in Atlanta.
Vin repeated the news into the microphone and stated, ‘Well, I’m proud of Karma anyway, but I know she would say something if she was standing at this podium.’
Ludacris soon caught sight of Karma making her way to the stage, causing the rapper to send a look of shock before the two shared a touching embrace.

The audience and supporters of Ludacris let out a cheerful round of applause upon watching the special moment, and the Act A Fool hitmaker lifted his hands up into the air and surprisingly asked, ‘What?’
His daughter held up a smartphone that was in her hand and began to give a sweet speech of her own. ‘To my rock, my hero, my dad, words can’t describe how much being here for you today means to me.’
‘After receiving your text on Thursday asking if I could make it to LA for your Hollywood star, it took everything in me to come up with an excuse of why I couldn’t make it today.’
She continued, ‘The truth is, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. From plays to dance recitals to graduation, you have always found a way to be there for me. Even if it’s a call or a text from miles away, you always made it a point to make sure I felt valued.’
‘Growing up, you tell me to face my fears, that I can be two things in this world: scared or prepared; that there is no such thing as failure, as long as I never give up on my dreams. All I know is, if practice what you preach was a person, it would be you.’
‘You are a go-getter. You are a natural leader. You are a risk taker. You are a multitasker. You are a king and you are a perfect example of a father. After years of you being the one surprising me, it is my honor to have the tables be turned.’
At the conclusion of her message, Karma added, ‘Only you and God know truly how hard you have worked to reach this moment and I thank him for allowing me to witness just a snippet of the time, passion, and dedication you put into everything that you do.’

Before the special surprise, Vin had given a moving speech of his own for Ludacris and fellow castmate.
He emotionally expressed that, ‘We’ve never seen anybody dominate the music world and then come and dominate cinema while being entrepreneurial in the way that he is.’
‘I come from a place where the way you show up for somebody is say, “I would die for you.” What Chris has brought in another variation on that, which is, “I will live for you.” So I will live for you, my brother, always, and I love you from the bottom of my heart.’
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about his daughter’s appearance, Ludacris said: ‘I was fighting tears. Seriously, I was glad that I had my sunglasses on today.
‘That blew me away. Usually it’s not easy for people to keep certain things from me, but that was 100 percent a surprise. Seems like everybody knew but me! I’m a little pissed off right now. I’m a little mad.’
Queen Latifah, Tyrese, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, and LL Cool J were just some of the guests that were in attendance for the unveiling of rapper’s star.
During the ceremony, the Move B***h rapper thanked his family, fans and ‘the people who showed up for me. No matter what people say I can’t do, I will continue to shatter those stereotypes and show people it’s possible in order to make everyone who got me here proud.’

‘Because you all inspire my hard work and dedication to receive this star today. I’m motivated by legacy and history.’
He continued, ‘This means that I’ve made my mark… my own personal history being documented. To be amongst these names is just amazing to me.
‘I went from being a young man with a dream to having my name cemented in one of the most visited places on Earth. People walk this block and their eyes are glued to the ground.’
‘If kids and parents or anyone walking up and down the street sees my name and the pavement and it ignites just the smallest spark of creativity, drive and ambition in any of these people, it will continue to just mean the world to me and I know it’s all worth it,’ he said.
