MANCHESTER UNITED fans were left fuming with Erik ten Hag at the end of the 3-3 draw with Galatasaray.
The result puts the Red Devils on the brink of Champions League elimination.
Erik ten Hag smiled as he greeted and embraced his former player Hakim Ziyech
Manchester United fans were not happy as the winger scored twice in the match
Ziyech almost eliminated Man Utd from Champions Leuage
Ten Hag, who had worked with Galatasaray star Hakim Ziyech at Ajax, was grinning, nevertheless, as he gave him a hug at the conclusion of the game.
Ziyech netted twice as Galatasaray overcame deficits of 2-0 and 3-1 to tie the score.
It was therefore not surprising that Ten Hag’s actions infuriated United supporters, some of whom claimed Sir Alex Ferguson would never act in such a way.
One said: “State of this… just had us pretty much knocked out of the CL and he’s having a laugh with the opposition.
“Should be writing his resignation letter.”
Another added: “I’m dying man, nothing against Erik ten Hag, but if this was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer…”
A third wrote: “Did Sir Alex Ferguson ever do this? Knocks me sick when I see managers be all smiles when their team has just had a humiliating match”
.
And another commented: “Cannot say I care for this after United have pretty much got knocked out of the Champions League.
“Don’t mean to be a bore but Fergie would have been furiously straight down the tunnel after the handshakes.”
Fans were also left fuming with Andre Onana after his blunder allowed Galatasary to pull one back before their equaliser.
