Cristiano Ronaldo’s special early Christmas gift lifted Vinicius Jr.’s spirits after a heartbreaking injury in the match against Colombia

Just a few days ago, Vinicius Jr. suffered a major blow. The Brazilian superstar has been sidelined after picking up an injury in the World Cup qualifiers against Columbia. While it has kept his 2023 season in doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo went the extra mile to cheer up the winger by sending in an iconic gift to the Real Madrid star.

Cristiano Ronaldo sends an early Christmas present to Vinicius Jr.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to make a star’s day from his former club. He gifted Vinicius Jr. his Portugal jersey that he wore during his game against Liechtenstein. The shirt was signed and also had a small message for Madrid’s No. 7. This gesture came to light on Vini’s Instagram account, where he posted a bunch of pictures.

He wrote a caption saying, “A little trip of my gallery…”. Notably, the heartfelt token from CR7 can be seen in the fourth picture of the carousel post. Be that as it may, it is quite a touching gesture.

Sadly, Vinicius Jr. returned to Spain from Brazil, bringing bad news for Real Madrid. The striker injured his left thigh during Brazil’s 2-1 loss against Columbia on Friday last week.

He is expected to miss action for weeks and may resume in the second month of the new year. While he continues to steadily recover from the injury, the gift from Cristiano Ronaldo will surely boost his morale.

Vinicius Jr.’s reaction to Ronaldo’s masterclass

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace, including a 40-yard stunner, during Al Nassr’s 3-0 win over Al Akhdoud. Impressed by his idol, Vinicius Jr. quickly praised Ronaldo. Under his Instagram post, the winger commented “SIIIII” with the crown symbol on either side of the comment. Additionally, his Real Madrid teammate Rodrygo also hailed the CR7, as he commented with a face with heart eyes and a goat emoji.

Notably, with this brace, he continues to lead the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer standings. So far, he has scored 15 goals. Certainly, he’ll be looking to keep his form intact.
