Nicolas Jackson has now shared if he will ever look to replicate Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration again at Chelsea.
He told The Telegraph that he is now saving that celebration for if he scores a hat-trick for the club.
Jackson has begun to find some form in front of goal in recent weeks, adding to what had been a slow start to the season for him.
Before scoring a crucial goal against Manchester City in the last Premier League game before the international break, he found three in the fierce London derby against Tottenham.
The Blues beat the nine men 4-1, however struggled greatly until the Senegal international finally found the net late in the second half.
Jackson was certainly under a bit of pressure for his performances, with goals not coming as freely as expected for a striker in this side.
Jackson on Ronaldo celebration
He certainly enjoyed his hat-trick though, celebrating with Ronaldo’s iconic celebration after the fact.
Now, Jackson has claimed that he will only pull it out to commemorate scoring three goals in a game.
He said: “I always did his celebration, even when I was at Villarreal and I scored two goals,” said 22-year-old Jackson. “So when I got a hat-trick, I had to do it. Now I’ll only do it for hat-tricks, not every goal.
“It was my first career hat-trick. It was very special. The ball is in my lounge so everyone can see it. I hope there will be many more, but the first one is always very important and I will try to keep it very safe.”
Jackson will be hoping he has done enough in recent games to be handed a start against Newcastle tomorrow, with Armando Broja pushing to return from his injury setback.
