Vinicius scored twice in Real Madrid’s 5-1 victory

Last weekend, Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw by Vallecano, surrendering the top spot to Girona. Therefore, Coach Ancelotti’s squad understood that a victory against Valencia at the Bernabeu on the evening of November 11th was a must.

Without Bellingham due to injury, Ancelotti fielded a front three of Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Diaz from the start. Camavinga, Valverde, and Kroos took charge in midfield.

Valencia, the visiting team, struggled throughout the match and managed to score a consolation goal in the 88th minute when the game was already settled. Forward Hugo Duro found the net as Real Madrid’s defense lost focus.

The 5-1 triumph against Valencia further solidified Real Madrid’s second-place position in La Liga with 32 points, trailing table-toppers Girona by two points and holding a five-point lead over arch-rivals Barcelona.
