Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain were glimpsed again on the set of their upcoming psychological thriller Mother’s Instinct on Thursday.

The 39-year-old Devil Wears Prada star was seen showing off a stunning blue dress that seemed to date the film to the early 1960s, while Chastain, 45, was pictured in a striking blue plaid jumpsuit in New York City.

The two women star as dueling leads in the film, which is a remake of the 2018 Belgian thriller Duelles.

The Interstellar actress looked effortlessly cool with a chunky set of black sunglasses, and she styled her dark tresses in a short hairdo with a violet hair clip.

Her costume also featured a white strand of pearl’s around her throat for an extra touch of class.

Jessica was also pictured on set, though it wasn’t clear if they were filming a scene together.

Mother’s Instinct, which sees the original director Olivier Masset-Depasse returning to helm the English-language remake, focuses on two women who are friends in the 1960s and live nearby, with similar families and children of the same age.

Their friendship is torn asunder following a tragic accident, and both are consumed by guilt and paranoia.

The US rights to the remake were acquired last month by the arthouse distributer Neon.

The studio scored a massive hit with the South Korean thriller Parasite, which won the Palme D’or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and later shocked American viewers when it won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature at the 2020 Academy Awards.

Both Duelles and Mother’s Instinct are based on the Belgian writer Barbara Abel’s 2012 novel Derrière la Haine (Behind The Hate).

But the two also filmed scenes earlier this year in James Gray’s autobiographical period drama Armageddon Time, which is set in Queens in the 1980s and also stars Anthony Hopkins and Succession’s Jeremy Strong.

Anne plays the mother of the stand-in for Gray, while Jessica makes an appearance as Maryanne Trump, the sister of Donald Trump and a retired federal judge.

Anne most recently appeared in the series WeCrashed with Jared Leto, about the rise and fall of the founder of WeWork.
